Continuous variables have infinite number of values.

What are example of Continuous variables?

  • Income of employee
  • Temperature of a day
  • Pocket money of a student
  • Age

What are discontinuous variables?

Discontinuous variable are with a limited number of values which cannot be divided into fractions. Discontinuous variable are categorical variable.

What are examples of discontinuous variables?

  • A person : Live or dead
  • Employment status: Un-employed or employed
  • Result: Pass or Fail
