Following are some important factors that affect the processing speed of an operating system

1. NUMBER OF CORES (PROCESSORS)

If the Number of CPU cores is more, then the speed o operating system also increase accordingly.

2. MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS AFFECTING COMPUTER SPEED

If you are running more software together at the same time, then the speed of operating system can decrease accordingly.

3. GRAPHICS CARD TYPE 4. DATA BUS WIDTH

If data bus width is more, then the speed of operating system will increase accordingly.

5. MEMORY CACHE

More cache means operating system will work in more speedy way.
