Learning Objective
By learning objective, we meant a succinct declaration that details what the student will be able to comprehend after completing the session, course, program, or degree.
The language and learning objectives, that intend to describe the student’s performance and learning must be learner-centered. For example, “By the end of the module student should be able to…..” besides that, the learning objectives must fulfill the “SMART” acronym efficiently, “Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound”.
Importance of Measurable Learning Objectives:
The expectations for students within a course are laid forth in the program’s measurable learning objectives. They make explicit what a learner is supposed to learn after interacting with teachers, peers, course material, and assignments.
How to write measurable Learning Objectives:
The learning objectives chosen by you for your lesson will influence by the learning objectives and evaluations you will conduct. To be evaluated, the goals must be presented in a way that is both obvious and quantifiable. The student must be able to demonstrate that they have met the objectives, and the teacher must have a mechanism to assess this.
Attention and research go into creating measurable learning objectives. As soon as the optimal goals are determined the objectives can be established by including smart attributes.

S- Specific:
Statements that are brief and precisely clarify what the learners will comprehend, understand, and be capable to perform by the end of the class. The aim should be very specific about what the student is expected to do and the requirements, for example, give the student a topic and limit the time or Freely, apply the five-step scientific method.
Learning objectives should be clearly articulated in words that are focused on the student. Students can focus on the appropriate area if they are acquainted with the desired objectives.

M- Measurable:
The goals of learning must’ve been measurable. Measurable objectives specify the results and these results can be evaluated by the instructor in clear and explicit ways. Begin by using behavioral verbs (action verbs) that can be measured and observed both formally and informally. Your aims will be easier to maintain as long as you use descriptive verbs which classifies based on the level of proficiency that students should be achieving.
There are certain verbs too to stay away from while composing a measurable learning objective. Some verbs cannot fulfill or satiate the required goal to describe the student’s performance e.g. acknowledge, comprehend, be aware of, study, familiarize, know, learn, etc.

A- Attainable:
Writing learning objectives at the proper chronological stage is essential for student achievement. The time allotted for the class must support achieving the goal, and the pupils must have the relevant understanding and abilities. By looking at the results of the pre-assessment, you may choose the right level of difficulty. While providing students with the possibility to achieve the goal, learning sessions should be difficult.

R- Relevant:
A person’s IEP goals must be compatible with the abilities or knowledge mentioned, both in terms of academic level and subject matter. For the setting of measurable learning objectives, awareness of standards, benchmarks, and supporting knowledge, that students in your school or district are expected to master is crucial. These details were derived from educational materials and Common Core State Standards. By doing this, teachers can guarantee that pupils are learning the same crucial material.

T- Time Bound:
Indicate the time frame by which learners should be capable to show the skill (e.g., “By the completion of the lesson”). In measurable learning objectives, a specific period should be mentioned for the convenience of students and teachers as well. Students will get the idea that what they are capable of doing in a limited duration and employ their skill set to achieve the required objective.
