Let me share with you a comparison between Abscisic Acid (ABA) and Gibberellins (GA).

Aspect Abscisic Acid (ABA) Gibberellins (GA)
Chemical Structure C₁₅H₂₀O₄ A complex family of compounds, such as GA₁, GA₃, etc.
Role in Plant Growth Inhibits growth and induces dormancy. Promotes stem elongation, cell division and seed germination.
Function in Stomatal Closure Induces stomatal closure to reduce water loss. Has no direct effect on stomatal closure.
Effects on Seed Germination Inhibits seed germination. Stimulates seed germination.
Stress Response Induced by stress conditions (drought, salinity). Induced by favorable growth conditions.
Translocation Mostly synthesized in chloroplasts and moves passively. Synthesized in meristematic tissues and actively translocated.
Synthesis Location Synthesized in response to stress in various plant tissues. Synthesized in young leaves, roots and embryos.
Environmental Response Responds to adverse environmental conditions. Responds to favorable environmental conditions.
