History of Digital Logic Design

DLD stands for digital logic design and it is used to perform logical operations, making up of circuits and how to operate digital signals, use of analog signals by using analog circuits, in short, it’s all about designing making and operate different circuits at different part of daily life and that are further used in enhancing the technology.

There are gates in DLD we used different gates to make certain circuits. it is made up of large assemblies using logic gates. It was firstly designed by Konrad Zuse it was an electromechanical computer named Z3, it takes space of a large room and used the power of hundred of personal computers.

There are only two states in a digital state that are either 0 or 1 it is also known as discrete level. In order to perform boolean operations we use transistors to create logic gates .while talking about the Konrad Zuse, he was a German civil engineer, inventor, computer scientist, and computer pioneer. he was the man behind the making of worlds first programmable computer , the machine will become operational in May 1941 , he designed the first high-level programming language plankalkul, he also introduces the concept of computation based universe in his book Rechnender Raum.while discussing about logic designs a question arises that why we use boolean operations in solving the logic gates well it is a useful and efficient way to simplify circuits , it lowers the cost and produce efficient results and best speed performance .

While talking about DLD software it is a library package of a C programming language that performs dynamic link editing also programs that use DLD can add, remove and compile programs.

In DLD the binary number was introduced by Gottfried he said that by using the binary system, principals of logic and arithmetic could be joined. digital logic was the brainchild of George Boole in the mid of 19th century also in 1886 Charles described how logical operations could be carried out by electricals circuits

In the university of Manchester, a team that is led by Tom Kilburn build a machine with the help of newly developed transistors it was the first transistors computers and was operational in May 1953 and its second version was introduced in April 1955.

digital systems use elementary electronic circuits which are known as gates. The concept of the gate is introduced by logical statements satisfying the term logic design. Then the design is inserted on the integrated chips and hence a circuit is prepared

In the start of ages of logic designs, analog circuits are compared with digital circuits so a single representation is being transmitted without noise cause degradation also yield of production is very low of today standards

In the early 1970s leads to the first large scale integration on a single chip with more than 10000 transistors with CMOS adoption. In the 1980s billions of transistors should be placed on a single chip using MOS with the passage of time as the technology passes.

The logic design is the basic organization of a digital computer of circuitry . all digital computers are based on two value logic system that is either 1/0 or on/off .it usually receives input system, process it and change it to output signals components of the gate block or pass the gate as an output of the result.
