Let me share with you a comparison between Zygote and Embryo.

Aspect       Zygote      Embryo
Formation Formed by the fusion of sperm and egg during fertilization. Develops from the zygote after several rounds of cell division and differentiation.
Number of cells Initially a single cell. Multicellular, consisting of multiple cells.
Developmental Stage Represents the earliest stage of development. Follows the zygote stage and precedes later stages like the fetus.
Implantation Zygote may undergo several cell divisions before implanting into the uterus. Embryo implants into the uterus for further development.
Size Initially small, consisting of only a few cells. Grows in size as cell division and differentiation progress, forming a recognizable structure.
Cell Potency Totipotent, capable of giving rise to all cell types, including both embryonic and extraembryonic tissues. Pluripotent, with the ability to differentiate into many cell types but not capable of forming extraembryonic tissues.
Developmental  period The zygote stage is relatively short. The embryonic stage is a more extended period with distinct developmental milestones.
Stage in Reproduction Early stage in the reproductive process. Intermediate stage between the zygote and fetus in the reproductive process.
