Creating and formatting lists MCQs (bulleted, numbered) – MS Word
Method 1: Using Numbered Lists
Open Microsoft Word.
Type the Question:
Example: 1. What is the largest ocean on Earth?
Add Options Using Numbered Lists:
Press Enter to start a new line after the question.
Click on the “Numbering” button in the “Paragraph” group on the Home tab to apply numbering.
Type each option and press Enter after each option to create a numbered list.
Example:
Atlantic Ocean
Indian Ocean
Arctic Ocean
Pacific Ocean
Type the Answer:
Press Enter after the last option.
Type “Answer: Pacific Ocean” or format it as needed.
Repeat for Additional Questions.
Example
What is the largest ocean on Earth?
Atlantic Ocean
Indian Ocean
Arctic Ocean
Pacific Ocean
Answer: Pacific Ocean
What is the smallest planet in our solar system?

Method 2: Using Bulleted Lists
Open Microsoft Word.
Type the Question:

Add Options Using Bulleted Lists:
Press Enter to start a new line after the question.
Click on the “Bullets” button in the “Paragraph” group on the Home tab to apply bullets.
Type each option and press Enter after each option to create a bulleted list.
Example:
Au
Ag
Pb
Fe
Type the Answer:
Press Enter after the last option.
Type “Answer: Au” or format it as needed.
Repeat for Additional Questions.

Formatting Tips
Bold or Italicize Text:
To make the questions or answers stand out, you can use bold or italics. Highlight the text and click on the “Bold” or “Italic” button in the “Font” group on the Home tab.
Adjust Indentation:
Use the increase/decrease indent buttons on the Home tab to adjust the indentation of your list items if needed.
Use Different Bullet Styles:
Click on the small arrow next to the “Bullets” button to choose from different bullet styles.
Use Heading Styles:
For a more structured document, you can use heading styles for your questions. Highlight the question, and choose a heading style from the “Styles” group on the Home tab.
