Let me share with you a difference between pulmonary circulation and systematic circulation.

Aspect Pulmonary Circulation Systemic Circulation
Introduction A circulation of transportation of deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs for oxygenation and returning of oxygenated blood to the heart. A circulation of transportation of oxygenated blood from the heart to the body tissues and returning of deoxygenated blood to the heart.
Initiation point Right ventricle of the heart Left ventricle of the heart
End Point Left atrium of the heart Right atrium of the heart
Blood Oxygenation Oxygenates deoxygenated blood in the lungs Supplies oxygenated blood to body tissues
Blood Pressure Lower pressure Higher pressure
Blood Flow Rate Lower Higher
Distance traveled by blood Short distance between the heart and lungs Longer distance throughout the entire body
Nutrient and gas exchange Minimal exchange Extensive exchange
