BASIC SCALE, NAME & NATURE OF (BS-16) DATA BASE ADMINISTRATOR (on contract basis for the period of 03 years)

PRESCRIBED QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE AS PER SERVICE RULES:
I) BS (Computer Science) or equivalent qualification with at least 60% marks or Grade B from a recognized institution.
ii) One year experience in Database Administration with a reputed IT organization including at least six months experience in designing, configuring, installing and managing Oracle RDBMS/ORDOMS 8i, 9i, 10g and 11g on windows. Must have profound knowledge of Normalization, DFDs, ERDs, EERDs, and Toad Modeler, MS Visio etc.
iii) Concept of Data warehouse, Shell Scripting, Data mining etc.
iv) Expertise in planning, testing and implementing user managed back up/disaster recovery solutions and tools like Oracle Import/ Export, Data Pump, RMAN etc.
v) High proficiency in Complex SQL queries and PL-SQL procedures/ functions/packages.
NOTE:
i) Experience in private entities shall be accepted if such entity is registered with SECP, Registrar of Firms or any other Regulatory Authority.
ii) The Requisite Experience must be after acquiring the prescribed qualification.
NOTE:
According to Clause (5) of the Punjab Waqf Properties Ordinance 1979, no person be appointed as an officer unless he is a Muslim
AGE:
Male: 21 to 30 +5 = 35 years
Female: 21 to 30 +8 = 38 years
As per Government of the Punjab Notification No. SOR-I (S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 21 May 2012 and Notification No. SOR-I (S&GAD)9-2/2022 dated 26 January 2022.
Age and sex of the transgender will be based on the contents of their CNIC.

SYLLABUS FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION/ TEST (IF HELD):
One paper MCQ Type Written Test of 100 Marks and 90 minutes duration. The syllabus is as under:-
a) Qualification related Questions: (80%)
b) General Knowledge (20%)
Including Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science and Computer Studies.
NOTE:-
In case, a large number of applications are to be received, shortlisting shall be carried out on the basis of academic record of candidates or on the basis of one paper MCQs or Descriptive type Written Test
