“ing” Suffix:

• To represent the “ing” suffix, a small horizontal dot (.) is placed at the end of the main stroke that represents the word. This dot indicates that the word ends with “ing.”
• The symbol for “ing” is not written separately, but the dot modifies the word to show the suffix.

Example:

• For the word “running”, you would write the stroke for “run” and then add the dot (.) at the end to represent “ing.”

Shaking shorthand

1. SH is represented by a light half-curved stroke, slanting from top right to bottom left.
2. A is represented by a heavy dot, placed to the right of the “SH” stroke (Vowel Position: 2nd place).
3. K is represented by a light horizontal stroke, drawn from left to right.
4. ING is represented by a light dot at the end of the word.

Baking shorthand

1. B is represented by a heavy downward slanting stroke.
2. A is represented by a heavy dot, placed to the right of the “B” stroke (Vowel Position: 2nd place).
3. K is represented by a light horizontal stroke, drawn from left to right.
4. ING is represented by a light dot at the end of the word.

Moving  shorthand

1. M is represented by a light downward stroke.
2. O is represented by a heavy dash, placed below the “V” stroke (Vowel Position: 3rd place).
3. V is represented by a Heavy slanting curved stroke.
4. ING is represented by a light dot at the end of the word.

Feeding shorthand

1. F is represented by a light half curve slanting from top left to bottom right .
2. E is represented by a heavy dot, placed before the “D” stroke (Vowel Position: 3rd place).
3. D is represented by a heavy vertical stroke.
4. ING is represented by a light dot at the end of the word.

Building shorthand

1. B is represented by a heavy downward slanting stroke.
2. I is represented by a light dot placed after the L stroke (Vowel Position: 3rd place).
3. L is represented by a light upward stroke.
4. D is represented by a heavy vertical downward stroke.
5. ING is represented by a light dot at the end of the word.

Catching shorthand

1. C (K sound) is represented by a light horizontal stroke.
2. A is represented by a light dot, placed belo  of the “K” stroke (Vowel Position: 1st place).
3. CH is represented by a light curved stroke, slanting from top right to bottom left.
4. ING is represented by a light dot at the end of the word.
