Capacitors Power Factor Correction Calculation

Connected Load= kw = KiloWatts
Current PF= (0.1 to 1.0)
Desired PF= (0.1 to 1.0)
Original KVA= KVA

The formula of Capacitors Power Factor Correction :

Original  Kilo Volt Amperes(KVA) =Current Load / Current Power Factor(PF)

New Kilo Volt Amperes (KVA) = Connected Load  / Desired Power Factor (PF)

Example of Capacitors Power Factor Correction :

If current load is 7 and Current Power Factor is 0.5, then calculate Original  Kilo Volt-Amperes.


Original  Kilo Volt Amperes(KVA) = 7 / 0.5 =

Example 2:

If current load is 7 and Current Power Factor is 0.3, then calculate Original  Kilo Volt-Amperes.

Kilo Volt Amperes =  7 / 0.3 =
